When our day guests have returned to the valley, it is all yours: the Alpe di Luson/Rodenecker Lüsner Alm. During the day, it is a popular excursion destination (and yet still a real insider tip!), but from the afternoon hours onwards, the famous “Almfrieden” can unfold its magic. It's hard to explain exactly what we mean by that. The best thing is to come and visit us soon and feel it for yourself. This much we can say: it is a warm and comforting feeling of being at one with nature, coupled with a deep sense of contentment and the certainty that everything here and now is good as it is. Sometimes a guest says: “Somehow eerie, this silence!” And it's true, for modern people it is unusual to be without the noise of everyday life. Did you know that our world is getting louder every year? This has consequences: noise makes us ill in the long term. It is all the more important to regularly take time out in the quietest environment possible.
The magic of silence:
the peace and quiet of the alpine pastures is so good for you.
4 reasons why silence is so important for you:
#1: Silence is healing
When the noise level drops, so do your stress level, your cortisol level and your blood pressure. Silence activates your parasympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for relaxation and regeneration.
#2: Silence is rare
In the city, you are constantly exposed to an average of 60 decibels of noise. Up on the mountain, the level is halved. If you then avoid using your smartphone and other “noise makers”, your entire system will be happy. Be aware of how “loud” your everyday life is and which objects unnecessarily make noise – does your washing machine really have to play a song when it's done?
#3 Silence sharpens your senses
When your brain doesn't have to constantly process acoustic stimuli, you'll suddenly notice a lot more: your eyes see more, your nose sniffs out even the slightest scents in the mountain wind, and your sense of touch becomes more sensitive.
#4 Silence creates connection
Less stimulus = more space for feelings. Silence opens up true chambers of wonder to your soul landscape. Take a look inside and discover what you are made of. This may require a little courage and dedication, especially for those who are rarely in the mountains
